Kang Hongxi was born in 1984 right in the inside-painted snuff bottle capital of the world, Hengshui, Hebei,China. During his young years, he showed great interest in painting. When he visited countryside, he noticed many artists could use a small brush pen painting vivid pictures in small bottles. He was curious. Later he was influenced by these Chinese Folk artists and came to love these arts. He enrolled into Xisan inside-painted snuff bottle school to learn all basics of these special skill painting until graduation in 2003. For his further improvement, he started to learn from another master level artist Shouxun Li. Mr. Li observed him for a period of time and found him hard working and with all the character to achieve greatness. Mr. Li let him attended without charging him any tuition. He has remained at Long-Yi Inside-Painting School of Art as instructor. Even at his young age, he obtained the certification as the level-2 in this field of art. His works were collected by people all over the world. He eventually will reach the highest level as his teacher Xisan Wang and Shouxun Li.
