Zhao Zhi Yun was born in Wuyi County, Hebei Province in 1978. She began studying inside painting at the age of 17 at the Hengshui Vocational School. After graduation, she further studied at the Xisan Inside Painting Art School. She specializes in classical Chinese figures. She is married to inside painter, Du Qing Tao.
