The “Punishment of Haman”, an episode from the Book of Esther (Esther 3). A young vizier named Haman issued an edict against the Jews, ordering that anyone refusing to bow down to the king would be killed. Esther, the wife of a Persian king, managed to have the edict annulled, thereby saving the people of Israel and causing the death of the vizier Haman.
