Paintings from the Sistine Chapel

The following scenes from the Sistine Chapel were painted inside 24 glass blocks,
each measuring approximately 4.5 cm x 6.5 cm by inside painting artist Wang Sijia.

The ceiling of the Sistine Chapel is a fresco painting. This means that the paint
is applied while the plaster is wet and is absorbed into the plaster itself. This
gives a unique quality the visual texture of the final work. This characteristic
effect has been well duplicated by Sijia and is very different from his wildlife
paintings and other oil painting reproductions.
