Guo Zhongen's art name is Yi Fan. He was born in Shen County of Hebei Province in 1973. He loved Chinese painting since he was a little boy and formally began training in Chinese painting in 1991. Successfully completing the entrance examination, he entered the Department of Correspondence of Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1993 specializing in landscape paintings. In 1995 he began his inside painting training under the instruction of Wang Guanyu.
