Peking Glass framed paintings

This type of bottle is generally believed to have originated in Shandong and dates back to at least the early 1900's.
Some observations:
(1) The earliest bottles seem to have used lacquer rather than colored glass for the framing
(2) The earliest bottles used red and black
(3) The themes painted in the earliest bottles were primarily folk stories and primative landscapes
(4) Green as a framing color seems to have become a popular color in the 1930's and landscapes usually, more refined, became principle subjects through the 1950's.
(5) Yellow framing appeared in the 1950's.
(6) Flowers as the dominant part of a design appear in the 1960's
These are only my observations thus far and will change as more data is obtained.
